Code of Conduct

The CAGT takes great pride in the quality of its players. In order to continue making the CAGT experience enjoyable and rewarding for everyone, the Association requires all members to adhere to a set of guidelines known as the Code of Conduct. Its purpose is to help CAGT participants grow and mature by understanding and accepting the consequences of their actions. The Code of Conduct is to be followed throughout the junior’s membership.

 

Violations

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, including abusive language, cheating, club throwing, disrespect to volunteers, officials or fellow competitors, or abuse of golf course property
  • Not adhering to the dress code at the host golf course
  • Use or association with drugs, alcohol, or smoking or chewing tobacco products
  • Conduct not becoming of an CAGT player, such as acting in anger or creating other distractions
  • Physical abuse, threat of physical abuse, verbal abuse, slander or libel towards other players, parents, coaches, sponsors, host golf course staff or members, CAGT staff or volunteers in any medium

 

Required Dress Code

  • Collared shirts must be worn and tucked in at all times
  • Women’s fashion shirts must not rise above the belt line at anytime during the golf swing
  • Women’s shorts must be no more than 5” above the knee OR the inseam of the shorts must measure at least 5”

 

Prohibitied Dress

  • Tank tops, T-shirts
  • Denim shorts, short-shorts, cut-off shorts, gym shorts, jeans
  • Earrings (males)
  • Body piercings and tattoos (must be covered)

 

Penalties

  • One-stroke penalty for each act of unsportsmanlike behavior on the golf course
  • Immediate disqualification from the event at which the violation occurs
  • Depending on the severity of the violation, the player may be suspended from all further events for the year
  • The CAGT reserves the right to suspend or revoke a player’s membership for a major breach of the CAGT Code of Conduct Any player whose membership is under suspension will not be eligible for postseason honors

I would like to congratulate you and the members on the 1st, of hopefully many successful years. The Cincinnati Amateur Golf Tour has afforded the participants an opportunity to play some of the top courses in the area, against the kids they will compete against in high school. - John Kinch
